Terms & Conditions

Read this page carefully before arriving to your permanent make-up appointment. The contract you are asked to sign before the treatment will refer to information presented on this page.

Permanent make-up

Permanent make-up or PMU (Lip Blush, Microblading, Powder Brows, Combo Brows, Eyeliner, Areola pigmentation) is cosmetic procedure, where pigments are set into the dermal layer of the skin. PMU is permanent, but it starts fading approximately 12–24 months after the treatment. The permanency of the results depends on the treatment, individual differences (i.e. skin type), aftercare and the color of the pigment. Typically, PMU fades faster in oily skin and light tones seem to fade faster than dark tones. The tone of the pigmentation changes and fades during the healing process and, usually, the final results are achieved after the touch-up appointment.

PMU and Contraindications

PMU treatments are not provided for persons, who are pregnant, breastfeeding, under the age of 18, sick with flu or intoxicated. PMU is not suitable for persons with medical conditions including but not limited to skin irritations/conditions such as keloid, chronic illnesses, blood diseases such as HIV or certain allergies (for example allergic reactions to hair dyes and anesthetics). Other contraindications for PMU may be medications, such as acne medications or medications that thin blood or contain tretinoin. If you’ve recently had dermal fillers, make sure to wait at least 4 weeks before treating the same area with PMU. After COVID-19 vaccination, you should wait 2 weeks before getting your PMU treatment.

If you’re unsure whether PMU is suitable for you, please consult your doctor before the appointment. The PMU artist is not responsible, if an accident occurs and the client has failed to inform of possible contraindications prior to the treatment.

The shape and color of the pigmentation are decided together with the client. The artist reserves the right to refuse to do the treatment, if the parties do not reach mutual understanding.

PMU acquires high precision and it is important for the client to remain steady during the treatment. The artist is not responsible, if the client fails to remain steady during the treatment and an accident occurs.

Products

Milena Professional Beauty uses pigments from leading PMU brands: Swiss Color and Permablend. To soothe possible irritation during the treatment, we use Blue Gel Anesthetic (active ingredients: lidocaine and tetracaine, applied on the open wound). Specific lists of the ingredients of all our products can be provided upon request.

Cover-ups

Pigments may resolve faster than usually, if you have previous pigmentations or tattoos on the area you want to treat. We recommend booking an extra touch-up appointment, if the pigmentation has faded significantly after the second touch-up treatment. The price for extra touch-up can be found here. If you are covering old pigmentation or tattoo, please inform us, when making a booking.

The client should be aware that sometimes the old pigments may be incompatible with the new pigments, which may result in issues with the settling of the new pigments on the skin. Also, on rare occasions, changes in the tone of the pigmentation and allergic reactions may occur. The PMU artist is not responsible, if issues related to cover-ups occur.

Please note! Cover-up works do not include removal of the old pigmentation. To read more about PMU removals, see here.

After the treatment

The skin will heal in approximately 2 weeks after the procedure. However, the client should be aware that the pigments take more time to properly settle into the skin. The pigments will reach their final tone in 8–12 weeks.

The client is strongly advised to follow the aftercare instructions given by the artist. The artist is not responsible, if an accident occurs after the treatment and the client has failed to follow the instructions.

For new clients, the touch-up session included in the price, will be set 5 to 8 weeks after the first treatment. If the client fails to come to the touch-up session or they postpone it by more than one week, full price will be charged due to possible fading of the pigmentation.

The artist is not responsible, if the client later decides to remove the pigmentation.
